Blind people dream

Did You Know......

Research finds that the dreams blind people have depend on when they became blind. It’s unusual for someone who became blind at age 5 or earler to be able to see anything in his/her dreams. On the other hand visual imagery does appear in the dreams of people who lose their sight at a later age. And, of course, those who were born blind don’t see anything in their dreams. They still have auditory dreams based on what they have heard when they were awake. You can read more about this in a study on blind people’s dreams.

A woman who lost her sight during childhood explains that people that knew before losing her    sight look exactly the same in her dreams as they did back then. People that she met after losing her sight have blurry faces! You can read more of her explanation here.
